My hiking shoes are no longer waterproof! Highlights of a very wet walk included:
Meadow Garlic
again
Multiflora Rose
Spotted Cranesbill
Sassafrass leaf
Cedar Apple Rust
Galls develop on juniper trees on needles and small twigs. Once mature, these galls swell considerably and produce orange, gelatinous horns during rainy spring weather. Well, I guess we've had enough rain the last couple of days, and here is the proof! As the rains end, the galls die, and the portion of the twig where the gall was will also die.
Northern Mockingbird
I also saw two Indigo Buntings and a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak!
