Birding at Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary

I thought with the grey skies and sprinkles, it would be a "good" birding day at Broadmoor.  I took my sister-in-law and niece with me and we hiked my normal 2 mile loop.  There wasn't much in the way of wildlife today; very quiet.

Besides quite a showing of mallards, here are the other birds we saw:

Mute Swan

This photo makes me wonder how they get themselves so pristine and white again after swimming in green gunk?

White-Throated Sparrow

Eastern Phoebe

 Eastern Bluebird

The wind was gusting while we were there.  Maybe that is why birds were few and far between.
