American Goldfinches

OK.  Let's just say that this has been one of the worst weeks in a long time for photographing nature.  Rain, rain, rain.  If not rain, then mist and dark skies and cold temps, or all of it together in one great combination.  I am sick of it!  I miss the sun.

That being said, the only thing to come in this post must be more photographs taken through a window.  Even worse, these were taken through a window with a screen.

Yesterday, I saw a nice flock of goldfinches (at least 20) eating seeds on spent buddleia blossoms and weeds just outside my tv room.  I only spotted one male among them, and he was mid-molt, changing into his winter feathers.
