Ducklings at the Boston Public Gardens

We went into Boston tonight to see the 37,000 American Flags planted in memory of every fallen Massachusetts service member from the Revolutionary War to the present day.  A fitting Memorial Day weekend activity.

We walked through the Public Gardens, and I searched the water for baby ducklings.  We found some!

I only saw one of the two Mute Swans that reside in the ponds during the summer.  They are named Romeo and Juliet.

 Awww!

We walked up Newbury Street and back, enjoying coffee at Nescafe and dinner at Sonsies'.  Even after all these years, I really enjoy Boston and don't tire of its beauty, history and traditions.

By the time we walked back, the swan boats were parked for the night.
