Patriots Day at Mt. Auburn Cemetery

As I prepare this post, I am saddened by the news of the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there.

I spent the morning at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.  The sun was out and the cemetery was beautiful with many trees and flowers in bloom.

  1. You must have had to lie down to get that helabore shot! Love that purple and white striated crocus. Don't think they grow down here.

A tragedy about the marathon. At least flowers give us peace.

    1. Those hellebore were on a slope, so I lucked out! I love that striated crocus, too!

  2. It's great to see that spring has truly arrived. The plants you show that also occur here are much further ahead than they are here. Although, it is amazing how quickly everything has started to grow now that the weather has warmed up.
