These last two photos were taken at Water Tower Plaza, Leominster, MA. What you can't see in those photos is that the starlings were in a flock of at least 100. That one Northern Mockingbird fought them off every time they tried to land in any of the four trees she was protecting. And she succeeded (at least while I was watching)!
