Birding at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge

I took a hike this afternoon at Great Meadows, expecting the impoundments to be thawed out and hoping for good water bird sightings.  The impoundments were not thawed out!  The main path between the two impoundments was very muddy, but once across that, it dried out and was a nice walk.
