Morning at BHCL

Ruby Meadowhawk (female)
(I think)

 Eastern Phoebe

It flew into the trail, caught a worm and returned to whip it against the branch.

Milkweed Bug

Don't know the dragonfly type, but I love its little face!

 Spicebush Swallowtail

 Eastern-Tailed Blue

 American Goldfinch

 Red-Winged Blackbird (I think it's a juvenile)

 Little Wood Satyr

 Queen Anne's Lace

 Song Sparrow

I nearly forgot to include a short video I took of the St. John's Wort this morning.  There were lots of pollinators enjoying it!

  1. What do you think of Blue Dasher for the creature with the photogenic face? Some images at the BugGuide seem to fit nicely.

    1. Could be! I hate to guess without some photos of the body.
