Skippers

Today, the butterfly of the day is the small, dainty, somewhat plain (but cute) skipper.  Some people nickname this family of butterflies the "little brown jobs".  My husband doesn't know why I waste my time on them, but I like them.  They are grass butterflies, flying low and sometimes in and among the tall grasses of a meadow.  I bet most people don't even see them.

Because of the zoom lens, you may not get a real feel for how small these butterflies are.  Just think about the size of the clover flower....

Two for One - the top one is a Peck's Skipper.  Not sure about the other one.
