I love hummingbirds at my feeder. It's even more special to find them nectaring in the garden. Ultimately, it is most exciting to find them out in their native environment, nectaring from wildflowers. Who knew that Queen Anne's Lace would provide much of a drink? I wouldn't have expected it! Wildflowers are in bloom.
I was hoping there'd be more butterflies, but it was pretty quiet. The trail near the water is not too well mowed, so take bug spray to protect yourself from ticks!
