My lunchtime hike today revealed two birds, two ducks (mallards) and a single turtle. It was in the 60s and breezy, a beautiful day. Saw several butterflies flying above or along the roads to and from my hike. Most were probably cabbage whites, but I couldn't say for sure. I also think I spotted an American Kestrel on the road home. Wish I could have stopped safely to take a look, but there was no place to pull over!
Hermit Thrush (new to life list), also Vermont's state bird
Osprey
Wish I could see into the nest!
Eastern Painted Turtle
