Parker River NWR

Winter was holding on with a tight grip Monday when I stopped at Parker River NWR.  I did not want to hike in the chilly wind.  It was only in the 20s and the wind was also in the 20s (mph).  It is just too late in the season to be tortured this way!

I did see a Northern Harrier fly by, but I missed getting a photograph of it.  I only have scenery to show for this trip, because it wasn't long before I said "forget this" and drove on to Michael's Harborside for some hot chowder and a fish sandwich!

We've got a ways to go before it feels or looks like Spring around here.
