Change of Habitat

Today started out foggy and muggy with occasional showers.  I thought about skipping going out altogether.  But.....I thought maybe if I went to a new habitat, the meadow, I might be able to add a bird to my year list.  I need both the Bobolink and the Eastern Meadowlark.  I decided to try Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, MA, which is close to home and has good potential.

I love meadows.  They have so much diversity in plants, insects, birds and are so much more interesting than suburban lawns.

Now if I could just find an Eastern Meadowlark!
