Cemetery Birding

Today is rainy and foggy, but we really need the rain, so I can't complain.  I drove through Wildwood Cemetery this morning, looking for anything that might catch my eye.  I was pleasantly surprised to see two male wood ducks in the river.

This Northern Mockingbird was scolding me and nervously hopping around from stone to stone.  I assume a nest is nearby.

Lilac

Lilacs are almost at peak bloom, and this one smelled divine.  I only wish there was a way to share the perfume with you!  I forget from year to year how wonderful they are....
