Back to Waseeka Wildlife Sanctuary

It was a beautiful evening, after a long couple days of rain, and I really enjoyed all the beauty that an evening hike at Waseeka Wildlife Sanctuary had to offer.

The surprise sighting of this hike was a beaver swimming in the cove at the beginning of the dam.  He slapped his tail at me and swam away, but I found him again out a little ways.  I saw he was heading back to the cove again, so I took a path to the water's edge, crouched down and waited for him to swim by.  He was really quite close.  After he passed, I stood and walked a bit closer and got a 2nd tail slap for my efforts!
