I had a nice sighting of a Belted Kingfisher this morning in Southboro from the bridge at Parkerville Road. I must have spooked it, and it flew about a block west (on the river, that is), giving its rattling call the entire way. I hopped in the car and drove a block west and was able to snap this photo from the bridge on Deerfoot Road.
Good start to a foggy day!
