Monarch at BHCL

I took my lunch break at Breakneck Hill Conservation Land.  Orange and Clouded Sulphurs, as well as Cabbage Whites were there in good abundance.  I also saw a Viceroy, but it did not cooperate for a photo.

Photo highlights included:

Praying Mantis

My snack!

Eastern Tailed-Blue (a little late season wear showing)

poss. Autumn Meadowhawk

Aster (not sure of exact type)

Monarch

again (same one)

and again (just because it was so fun to photograph)

The only apples left on the tree are those that are higher than the ladder!

Evening Primrose (still open in the PM)

And the first leaf of the Fall season!
