Quick Southboro Butterfly Stop

I took a very short lunch break over in Southboro, walking along the Sudbury Reservoir Trail around the entrance to Beals Preserve.  There's a lot of good Joe Pye Weed along the channel and I was hoping for a monarch sighting.  No such luck....but I was briefly excited (and fooled) by a Viceroy.

Viceroy

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Peck's Skipper

Widow Skimmer

You know I love meadows, so I had to take a picture of this pretty one on my walk out to Route 30!

Total seen:
Viceroy 1
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 1
Peck's Skipper 4
Pearl Crescent 2
Common Ringlet 3
Clouded Sulphur 3
Orange Sulphur 4
Cabbage White 4
