Red-Bellied Woodpecker

I took my brother and sister-in-law on a short morning walk at Hopkinton State Park.  They are visiting from Georgia and are really enjoying the remains of our fall foliage.

Late morning, we added my niece and my husband to our group and headed over to Mt. Auburn Cemetery to see the foliage and climb the Washington Tower for the view of Boston.

 Blue Jay

Last stop - lunch at Durgin Park in Boston:  fried seafood platter, fried clams, lobster roll, lobster macaroni & cheese and chicken pot pie.

I refused to take any photos of the pigeons.  Even though they are things with wings, I can't stand them....
