Back to Breakneck Hill Conservation Land

I took my lunch break at Breakneck Hill today.  It was sprinkling when I left the house.  Sun was peaking out between threatening thunderclouds in Southboro, and I fit in my walk without any rain.

Red-Tailed Hawk

As I was climbing that first hill, two red-tailed hawks were circling over the woods, calling as they flew.  I thought they were screeching at each other, but as I rounded the bend in the trail, a third smaller hawk with a long straight tail flew out from the trees and across the meadow.  Is that why the other two were noisy?  I don't know.

The gorgeous clouds

I think this is a Palm Warbler

I don't think the cows were enjoying the humidity today.  They were all jammed into the watering hole!

  1. Beautiful scenery and it's great to see that you still have butterflies there!

    1. Thanks! Yes, I haven't seen too many though, but I'm happy they are still around!
