Great Blue Heron

There was a Great Blue Heron sitting on a branch at the edge of the Sudbury River in Ashland (near Burnham Supper Club) last night.  I noticed him again this morning, and I'm guessing he spent the night there.  He looked like he was still in a sleeping position when I drove by in the AM.  At lunchtime, he was still there, so I stopped at Marathon Park to take a picture.  He's pretty far from any safe shoreline, so forgive the photo quality.  I tried to take a photo from his side, but couldn't see around the branches and didn't dare walk onto the bridge.  Too much traffic and no sidewalk!
