Waseeka

Today I took a short lunchtime hike at Waseeka, a Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.  We walked the Cart Path trail, which leads out to the earthen dam.  The pond was frozen and made for some pretty scenic photos.  The sun was shining, and it was a beautiful, albeit cold, day for a hike.

This is a nice sanctuary, although the entrance is wedged tightly between 2 tree trunks, and the parking lot is not maintained in the winter (probably for that same reason).

You never know where you may find a surprise out in nature, so even though we didn't find anything on this hike, it pays to keep looking!
