Snow

Slate-colored juncos are also known as snow birds.  They have a beautiful flashing white tail when they fly and pretty yellow beak.  They prowl around on the ground under my feeder on a daily basis, pushing around under the leaves.  There are usually 4-5 juncos visiting at the same time.

This morning we had a light dusting of snow, the first of any significance (if you can call it that) since the October snowstorm.  This little guy was sampling the stale potato bread I threw in the yard.
