Great Crested Flycatcher

This was a first for me!  I thought it was just another Eastern Phoebe, when I took its photo from a distance, but once I looked at it on the computer and saw the yellow wash on its belly and the cinnamon coloring on its tail, I realized it was something new!  This bird does not always show its crest.  (It was in the same tree a the Red-Bellied Woodpecker in today's other posting!)

  1. Oh my gosh! I think you just solved a mystery for me...I think I saw one of these in our garden a couple of weeks ago and I had no idea what it was. Thank you!
