A Fall Walk at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

It was a beautiful, but chilly day at Tower Hill Botanic Garden.  The birds were very entertaining, and the foliage couldn't be beat!  It was an uplifting walk that was good for the soul.

White-Throated Sparrow

White-Throated Sparrow

Palm Warbler

 Perfection.

How can you stay indoors when there are views like that waiting to be found?

 Northern Cardinal

Hermit Thrush

Mt. Wachusett

Eastern Bluebird

American Robin

Wachusett Reservoir

And finally, the views from the summit of Mt. Wachusett:

 way off in the distance....Boston!

I think the rolling mountains are much prettier than the skyscrapers.

Dark-eyed juncos were all over the summit of the mountain, the first I had seen of these winter birds this season.
