Red-Winged Blackbird

Most people recognize the male red-winged blackbird.  But are you familiar with the female?  Usually, they are deep in the marsh, and you don't often get to see them.  The males are above, protecting the territory.  Today, I was lucky and had my first sighting of a female red-winged blackbird.    It's really quite a pretty bird, but doesn't look much at all like its male counterpart (at least not in my opinion).
