Snow Bunting

I went to Rye State Beach since I was in Portsmouth for Thanksgiving.  I was hoping to spy a Snowy Owl.  Had no luck in that department, but just as we were leaving the area, I saw 5 birds fly in which looked liked possible Snow Buntings.  They were!  Such a beautiful winter visitor!  These birds can be found locally during our winters, but they spend their summers in the high Arctic.  I love their rouged cheeks!
